​Equipping starts here --  The EMPOWERMENT PACK.

These PACKS are the key to not only the equipping but the empowering of the Trainees.  With each Trainee having her own supplies, all things are launched equally and all are give equal opportunity.

​We have never seen sharing PACKS succeed. Desperate lives bring desperate behaviors and we have LEARNED that each Trainee deserves her own opportunity.
​
We suggest building the EMPOWERMENT PACK cost into the trip budget for each team member. Each team member has the capacity to empower a woman to launch her own economic enterprise that will change not only her life but the life of her family and community.         ​
The EMPOWERMENT PACK includes:
 ​Written instructions:  these will not only train you, they will also equip you to train the woman you gift your PACK to in the field.
  • Each team member takes at least one EMPOWERMENT PACK to the field to give to Trainees, giving them the necessary tools to launch their own business.​
​Fabric: The fabric is in differing stages of completion which allows the process to be seen step by step. Seeing the fabric in process will visually help those sewing, especially if there's a language barrier!
  • Fabric pieces consist of cotton, flannel and moisture barrier fabric; once the training is completed and the pieces assembled/sewn, the women given this PACK will have each created her own supplies and be equipped to make more!
Notions bag: Each bag contains bobbins, thread, needles, straight pins, snaps, scissors, a seam ripper, tape measure and thimble. Women/Trainees in the field receiving an EMPOWERMENT PACK keep these notions as part of their new business enterprise.
Round piece of cardboard for template:
  • Why cardboard?  We do not  believe in introducing things that can't be found or replica4ed in the field. With this option, they can trace the template shape onto this cardboard with your professional template - realizing they can do it again and again, making templates for those they themselves will train.  
Briefs:  1 pair of briefs made of mesh stretch nylon for one size fits all.  It washes and dries quickly due to the mesh construction. Including a brief allows demonstration of how to wear/assemble the brief. 
Each participant will leave Session 2 Training of Trainers with the basic skills to make her own supplies; the items she completed during the training to use for herself; all items in her EMPOWERMENT PACK which will enable her to continue this new skill with a deeper understanding of her value as a woman.  She is now equipped and empowered to become a change agent to all around her.
